I don’t think I’ve been very explicit about my future employment stuff in my social media empire, so in case any of my friends have been living under a rock, I start up a new position this fall as a Visiting Assistant Professor of World History at Grand Valley State University. WMU, my old employer, traded me for a computer technician, a case of whoppers candy, and some refilled ink jet cartridges — all in all, a fair deal I think. I had a rather enjoyable year at WMU and will miss it and the people very much, but I’m also looking forward to what my time at GVSU will bring.
Anyway, enough maudlin crap, I also want to point to the fact that I just posted one of my new fall syllabi on the website (under the Vitae section), in this case for HST 203 World History to 1500. If you’re curious, or perhaps a future student in that course, there you go!
